Lisa Secrest is an accomplished operations and training leader with over 25 years of experience in laboratory animal science and corporate management. She currently serves as an Operations Manager at Priority One Services, Inc., where she oversees quality assurance for federal contracts, provides HR guidance, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. For over two decades, Lisa has spearheaded corporate training programs and developed strategies to enhance workforce skills and organizational performance.

Her career began working in human emergency trauma care, followed by a stint as a zookeeper. She later transitioned to biomedical research and animal care, managing complex research protocols and trained technical staff. including roles at Advanced Bioscience Laboratories and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Lisa has a bachelor’s degree and holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Manager of Animal Resources and Laboratory Animal Technologist. She has received numerous awards for leadership and service, such as the Charles River Medallion, the George Collins Award the William Umiker Award, and the William Gay Award.

A recognized thought leader, Lisa has spoken at national and regional conferences, chaired educational committees, and published articles on workforce development in laboratory animal science. She is deeply committed to advancing professional standards and fostering a culture of learning in the life sciences community.
