Bootcamp #4: Leading & Engaging a Diverse Workforce – Owning Your Career
During this interactive workshop, we will give you tools to improve your leadership/management style, project management, and communication skills and approaches. We will spend time with self-analysis tools so participants will walk away with a better understanding of their own strengths and an action plan to improve areas for development.

- Tips for coping with people you don’t understand
- Gain a better sense of what’s important to you as a person and as a professional
Individuals will have the opportunity to work alongside their lab animal management and business colleagues to address and devise strategies to mitigate impact and ensure success.
Certified Manager of Animal Resources – M2 Preparatory Course
This training is open to both LAMA members and non-members and will focus on the M2 training material. This workshop is designed to cover management challenges – Organizational Structure, Human Resources, and Financial Foundations. The workshop will offer theory and group exercises to deliver the material and help you prepare for the M2 management exam needed to gain CMAR (Certified Manager of Animal Resources) certification using the AALAS route of 3 exams: AR, M1, and M2.
This course can be used to kickstart your studies, as a final review, or anywhere in between. Join us and move one step closer to CMAR certification!
Attendees should invest in the Management Training Manual, 2nd Edition available from AALAS Library.
